Offseason Small Cup: The Chicago Bears and Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp A Butterfly" With SPECIAL GUEST Mikey Ward
Update: 2015-04-05
Description
In this week's Offseason Small Cup, your co-host Michael sits down with Mikey Ward to talk about the Chicago Bears Offseason, upcoming draft, and the biggest album to hit hip-hop in a long time. First, Michael and Mikey talk about Chicago's Bears. The Monsters of the Midway did not have a good 2014 season, and 2015 looked bleak until John Fox showed up and Brandon Marshall departed. Mikey gives his opinions on the moves that Ryan Pace has made so far, including the hiring of John Fox and all those 1 year contracts that he added to the Bears' defense. After that, Michael and Mikey talk about Kendrick Lamar's most recent album, "To Pimp A Butterfly." Not quite an album review, not quite a Freshman English Seminar, questions emerge on analyzing the album with and without committing intentional fallacy, the overwhelming allusions throughout the 79 minutes of music, and what to make of the authority figures referenced by Kendrick Lamar.
